CCAA Apprentice Coach

September 8th, 2010

Aileen Holder will be assisting the women's soccer team this season and has received one of the 20 CCAA female apprentice program grants. The grant is identified for professional development opportunities in either NCCP or related coach education, and for operational costs associated with the apprentice coach. Aileen Holder, was a VIU athlete for five years and is one of the most outstanding athletes to ever play for VIU. In the 2009/10 season she was the captain of the Soccer team as well as captain of the Volleyball team as well as an outstanding student. Aileen expressed an interest in coaching upon finishing her final year of eligibility and is excited about being an Apprentice Coach this coming season. Besides her skills and knowledge of the game Aileen feels she can fill a gap on the Coaching staff, by providing a female perspective on the bench. Congratulation Aileen !!
