This was VIU's first regular season loss in two years and only it's second defeat in the past 28 games.

"We had a no show on Sunday against a good Kwantlen team and they made us pay, they were coming off a loss and were hungry, we played a real good game Saturday, where we totally dominated Douglas, we expect this group to bounce back next week in Prince George, we know we are going to be in a dog fight to make the playoffs this year as we are in a real tough pool with UBCO, TRU and Capilano, we know every point is valuable, the first two weekend of play has had strange results, we have couple of key injuries and are hoping those players will he ready to go soon"
