Halftime VIU 1 - Capilano 0

Capilano came on strong in the second half, Mariner keeper Shelby Walker was forced make couple of outstanding saves to preserve the lead, Ashlee Allbury gave VIU a two goal lead in the 70th minute, Allbury headed home a cross from Caity Genereaux. The Blues would get one back in the 78th.

VIU 2 - Capilano 1

"This was a big game in the standings, we played a real discipline first half and deserved the lead, getting that second goal from Ash was a bit of a relief, Shelby came up big when we needed her to be, it's too bad one of the teams in Pool B is not going to make it to provincials, all the teams are tough, the win gives us a bit of cushion in the standings but there's still a long way to go, our team is rising to the occasion and we look forward to two tough games next weekend"
