Halftime 3-0 VIU

Mariners continued to press the play and had a number of opportunities before Jones got her second of the match in the 80th minute, Jillian Kelly made a nice pass to send Jones in one on one with Knights keeper.
VIU ends its pre season with 6 wins and 1 loss.

"We had a lot more energy today, it was a stellar defensive game for us, we had a lot of possession and lot of purpose in our play. Rachel is such a smart player and she provides us with a different look than we had last year, our mids did a lot of running and won a lot of tackles, it was great to see our Captain Jordan Tufnail back on the field after 18 months recovering from an injury, she looked good. We are excited about our pre season but we need to start focusing on Langara next Saturday and Quest on Sunday, they are two really good teams and we have to be sharp"
