Cap 3, VIU 1

VIU 1, Cap 1

Our first away game in a month ... Cap scored in the 8th minute off a turnover, the match stayed that way until the second half when Cap went up by two, we replied right away from Jessie Weninger goal off a corner, lost our focus a little bit and have them score the third two minutes later, Final was 3-1

Sunday playing Cap at home, we totally dominated the game and should have been up by 3 or 4 at the half, Laura Rae playing her last home game had two glorious chances when she found herself all alone against the keeper, but Cap keeper made great saves.  Laura again got behind the defense, this time she found an open Moira Brown, she was staring at an open net but her delicate touch just went wide of the open net. Kaylee Dodds would get in behind the defense a minute into the second half to give us the lead. Kaylee had another opportunity to add to the lead when she was sent in all alone against the keeper but her low shot was inches outside the post. Cap would tie it in the 60th on one of the few times they got into our end. I thought we played an excellent game Sunday and were unlucky not to come away with three points. Cap had a tough time dealing with Carli Rey and Kaylee Dodds, those two are so skilled that have quickness and speed. I also thought Moira Brown and Jess Weninger were real good Sunday. We are in a  tough situation,  standing wise,  but we feel we can play with any team in this league and see what happens in the last four games. We play strong teams on the road this weekend, Langara and Quest, they sit second and third so we will need to be on our game to get results"
