2015 Awards Banquet

The 39th Annual VIU Mariner Athletics Awards banquet was held April 13th at the Coast Bastion Inn. The banquet hall looked impressive with 8 banners displayed across the stage. Mira Laurence emceed the event which included almost 100 awards !!

Major award winners included Jeff Travis (Soccer)and Tylar Turnbull (Volleyball) winning Athletes of the year. Rookie of the year honors went to Madeline Dawson (Soccer) and Victor Blasco (Soccer). International Education awards went to Sienna Pollard (Basketball) and Justin King (Basketball).
Top VIU Mariner Academic Excellence was won by Megan Goenendijk (Volleyball) and Harrison Stupich (Basketball).
For Megan this was her second time winning the award and Harrison has won it three consecutive years!!

Plus all the highlights of the 2014-15 season were celebrated !!
