Last weekend on the road, the Men's Volleyball went 2-0 against the Douglas Royals.
Doug Groenendijk, the Mariner’s 4th Year Right Side Attacker, made Week 6 his PACWEST breakout weekend. Doug combined for 28 total offensive points with 21 Kills with an outstanding Kill Efficiency of 0.424, 3 Service Aces, 9 Digs, and 4 Blocks over the weekend. In Friday night’s 4 set Mariner’s win, he provided the Mariners 11 Kills, 0.348 Kill Efficiency, 5 digs, 2 blocks and a Service Ace. On Saturday’s 4 set victory, he continued his strong play with another very well rounded performance with 10 Kills, 0.500 Kill Efficiency, 4 Digs, 2 Service Aces, and 2 Blocks. Doug’s maturity and consistency was a big factor in the Mariner’s 2 victories in the difficult road games at Douglas College.

Women's Volleyball split with Douglas, as they stumbled on Friday night going down 3-1 in defeat, but recovered with a 3-2 win on Saturday afternoon.
Danielle Groenendijk led the Mariners with 13 kills Friday night and Sadie Wilson had the hot hand Saturday registering 15 kills.
