VIU Men's golf team claimed a PACWEST team bronze medal and will now compete for a national medal next week in Ontario.

Kalli Gordon takes first place at the Hazelmere Golf Club this past weekend, with a 85 and 75 for a two day total of 160. She won the tournament by two strokes over UBC-O Alana Kent. Last weekend VIU's Morgan Deckschiemer won the men's, this weekend Kristian Hrabowych was VIU's to male golfer, only one shot back of the leader at 146.

The first PACWEST golf tournament of the season took place in Kamloops this past weekend. Top honors in the men's individual went to VIU's Morgan Decksheimer shooting 5 under, Kalli Kordon placed second in the women's individual shooting 160 .
