Jada Kamerman and Adam Hopper step up in the second weekend of play

Jada Kamerman

Jada was a substantial contributor to VIU's two wins this past weekend. In Saturday's win over Capilano, Jada scored on a blistering shot from the wing and was credited with two assists. She continued her strong play in a matchup with the undefeated Langara Falcons. This included a fantastic display of dribbling between three Falcons defenders close to the net that led to a corner kick and VIU's 2-0 goal.

Adam Hopper

Adam's ability on set pieces to create chances and goals has made him a valuable part of the lineup in his first varsity season. After putting in a solid performance in Saturday's tie with Capilano, Adam earned an assist on James Upshaw's first varsity goal: a perfect cross in from the left to open the scoring at Langara.
 
"His technique and distribution is proving to be a huge asset for us," head coach Kevin Lindo said. "Adam has worked very hard to fight his way into the team and deserves a lot of credit."
