Soccer Tryouts

Men's Soccer: Tuesday, August 4, 2026
Harewood Turf West, 740 Howard Ave., Nanaimo
7pm to 9pm

VIU students or prospective VIU students are invited to try out for the VIU Mariners. Grade 11 and 12 students are invited to try out for the VIU Prospects U21 team. 

There is no charge to attend, but please e-mail head coach Kevin Lindo if you plan to take part or if you have any questions.

Women's soccer ID camps are often held early in the calendar year and will be promoted here.

Rather than hosting one ID camp per year or season, soccer trials are ongoing and there may be an opportunity for you to train with the team as part of this.

If you are travelling from outside of Nanaimo or the central Vancouver Island area, we recommend that you plan to attend a tryout for more than one day. In this time, there may be a possibility for a campus tour in addition to getting to know the program, team staff, and current student-athletes.
