VIU Mariners Volleyball AlumNight

VIU Athletics and Recreation and VIU Alumni are excited to welcome Mariners volleyball alumni back to campus for a volleyball alumni celebration on Saturday, January 31.

• Cheer on the current varsity teams as they battle the Douglas College Royals: women's game at 1 pm, men's game at 3 pm
• Recognize the 2015/16 women's volleyball team that won the 2016 CCAA women's volleyball national championship at Holland College in Charlottetown, PEI
• Present the Ryan Thibault Memorial Award to a member of the men's volleyball team based on academic achievement and who embodies leadership, selflessness, teamwork, and outstanding athletic ability. This is the tenth anniversary of the award and it is voted on by the student-athletes.
• After the varsity games, two courts will be set up on the gym floor for alumni games (approximately 6-8 pm)
• Following the alumni games, share old stories and enjoy some hospitality at the VIU Students Union Pub beside the gym until midnight. This alumni pub social is sponsored by VIU Alumni & Advancement. Appetizers and a drink ticket are provided.
