VIU Mariners Basketball Alumni Day

The ramp up to the CCAA men's basketball championships includes an alumni celebration on February 21

VIU Athletics and Recreation and VIU Alumni are excited to welcome Mariners basketball alumni back to campus on Saturday, February 21, 2026.

  • Cheer on the current varsity teams as they battle the Douglas College Royals: women's game at 1 pm, men's game at 3 pm
  • A special alumni section with refreshments and pizza
  • CCAA Men's Basketball National Championship tournament passes on sale - including special packages, sponsored by VIU Alumni and Advancement, for members of the 1994, 2013, and 2019 men's basketball national championship teams

The alumni day follows our Seniors Night celebrations on Friday, February 20 where fifth-year and graduating student-athletes are recognized for their contributions to the Mariners basketball program.
