Men's basketball alumni game set to raise funds for Island Kids Cancer Association

NANAIMO - Alumni games are always a great opportunity to celebrate Mariners from years past and see how they match up against the current VIU squad. This game promises to be a bit more special thanks to the call-out to give a helping hand.
All admission proceeds from the Mariners men's basketball alumni game on September 21 at the VIU Gym will be donated to the Island Kids Cancer Association. The IKCA is a not-for-profit registered charity that is currently lending outreach and support to over 200 families across Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands.
A member of our basketball alumni family has recently benefitted from the incredible supports shown by the IKCA, so we are charged up to give our support back to them!
