Mariners win fourth and fifth games in a row during a road weekend at Langara College
VANCOUVER - The Mariners remained undefeated (4-0) in 2026 and extended their winning streak to five games following two road wins over the Langara Falcons.
JANUARY 23: VIU 107 Langara 97
Offense was the call of the day for the Mariners and Falcons in this matchup with VIU jumping ahead for good in a 32-point third quarter.
Five Mariners scored in double-figures, led by Keyonte Beals's 25 points on 10 of 18 shooting. Kye Kotapski-Tinga added 22 and Kai Leighton scored 20 (13 in the fourth quarter) as the Mariners shot 55.1% from the field and 46.2% from three.
Langara forward Patrick Robinson led his team with 24 points.
JANUARY 24: VIU 92 Langara 69
The VIU defence came to play in the rematch as the Mariners held the Falcons to 27.8% shooting on the way to a 23-point win.
The Mariners shot above 50% again--hitting 54.1% of their shots--as all ten Mariners on the roster earned points, led by 19 from Beals and 17 from Winston Cole. Point guard Ryan Bastian grabbed 19 rebounds with 15 of them coming on the defensive end.
Aaron Ungprasert scored 16 points off the bench to top the Langara stat sheet.

The Mariners (13-3) head to Capilano University to the face the Blues (10-6) on January 30 and 31. The Mariners are tied with the Camosun Chargers at the top of the PACWEST standings but have two games in hand while the Blues are in third and sit two points up on the Falcons.
