The Mariners bring an experienced lineup to Abbotsford to battle the Bearcats
With plenty of experience at all positions, the Mariners are looking for a big season, starting with a weekend road trip to take on the CBC Bearcats.

Head-To-Head in 2024-25
The Mariners split the season series with the Bearcats, losing 3-1 and 3-2 in the fall semester and winning 3-0 and 3-2 in the spring.

CBC: The Bearcats, under new head coach Ethan Larsen, largely have a brand new roster this season.
VIU: Owen Dyck is one of the top setters in the conference while libero Enrio Del Mundo is always at or near the top of the conference leaderboard in digs.
Fresh Faced First Years
New student-athletes to the squad include Owen Artuso (Vancouver, BC), Ewan Snikkers (Noonan, NB), Brad Ney (Nanaimo, BC), and Patrick Strasdin (Prince George, BC). Owen Phillips (Lantzville, BC) rejoins the team after a redshirt year.
Fifth Years
Dyck and outside hitters Rylan Van Kooten and Jake Stobbe bring experience and skill to the Mariners lineup.
