NANAIMO - The February 6/7 weekend features a battle between the top two teams in the PACWEST conference: VIU and the College of the Rockies Avalanche.

- VIU Mariners (9-7, second in the PACWEST, CCAA ranked #6) vs COTR Avalanche (14-2, first in the PACWEST, CCAA ranked #2)
- Friday, February 6 at College of the Rockies, Cranbrook, 7 pm Mountain / 6 pm Pacific
- Saturday, February 7 at College of the Rockies, 2 pm Mountain / 1 pm Pacific

Head-To-Head
The Avalanche took both matches over VIU in Nanaimo earlier this season: 3-0 (25-22, 25-14, 25-21) on October 30 and 3-1 (22-25, 25-21, 25-18, 25-21) on October 31.
The Mariners are on a four-match winning streak after splitting the first weekend of 2026 with Camosun. COTR swept Camosun in six sets last weekend.
Watch Out Now
COTR: Dylan Annala ledas in the PACWEST with 4.04 kills per set and teammate Diego Policarpo is not far behind in third with 3.9 kills per set.
VIU: The Mariners block party is well represented with Kieran Paauwe (0.88 blocks per set) and Rowan MacPherson (0.73 blocks per set) sitting first and second in conference stats.
