Women's Basketball CCAA National Champiobnships

The 2019 CCAA Women's Basketball Championships is in Quebec from March 14-17.

First round action for the Mariners will be Thursday, March 14th at 12noon PT versus the Olds Broncos from Alberta.

VIU advanced to the championships by defeating the Capilano Blues 82-77 in a thrilling BC final.
The Mariners, led by third-year guard Amber Lease, finished atop the PACWEST standings with a 17-1 record.

The Olds Broncos defeated the Keyano Huskies 54-51 in the ACAC Championship final to earn gold in Alberta.
Led by ACAC Player of the Year Brittney Thibeaux, the Broncos finished second in the ACAC South Division with a 17-4 record.
Olds defeated the first-place Lakeland Rustlers (17-7, ACAC North Division) in the conference semi-final.
