Earning points against Langara will be important for this VIU side as the Mariners still have games against Capilano and Douglas, two other teams in the hunt for the conference's best record, to come.

Head-To-Head
VIU swept Langara in two November games in Nanaimo. The Mariners opened up a 31-6 lead in the first quarter on the way to a 68-44 win in the opener, led by Kaia Simpson's 12 points and a 10-point, 10-rebound double-double for Kiayra Hohlweg. The Falcons kept the rematch close throughout but a 27-point explosion by Trista Thorn powered the Mariners to a 62-50 win.
