How We Got Here
The Mariners qualified directly to the championship final by virtue of finishing the regular season with the best record in the PACWEST conference.
The Royals finished third in the conference and faced the Langara Falcons in the PACWEST semifinal. After a 3-3 tie through regulation and overtime, the Royals advanced on penalty kicks.
Recent History
The Mariners and Royals last met in the PACWEST championship game in 2022 with the Mariners winning the title. However, the Royals defeated the Mariners in the 2023 PACWEST semifinal.

Douglas: The Royals boast one of the best and most experienced strikers in the conference in isabelle Dobbin. She scored 7 goals in the regular season and added another in Saturday's semifinal.
VIU: Midfielder Jada Kamerman was voted PACWEST women's soccer player of the year. She also scored 7 goals in the regular season and brings a major speed threat to the wings along with Jade Dillabough, last year's PACWEST championship MVP.

The winner of the PACWEST championship game advances to the 2025 Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Women's Soccer National Championship. The tournament is hosted by Red Deer Polytechnic in Red Deer, Alberta, from November 5-8. In addition to the PACWEST champion, the eight-team tournament will include the host Red Deer Queens, Garneau and Ahuntsic from Quebec, and conference champions from Manitoba, Alberta, Ontario, and the Maritimes.
