NANAIMO - Aimee Skinner wowed the PACWEST in her second varsity season and earned three major conference awards--including PACWEST Player of the Year. She was one of five Mariners to be recognized with PACWEST season awards.

Aimee Skinner - VIU Mariners Women's Volleyball  

A superb outside hitter who brings fans to their feet with her powerful kills, Aimee is a valued teammate who never loses poise during big moments—because she's always having fun. She finished high up the conference stat tables: second in kills, total offence, and aces; fifth in digs; and 12th in blocks. Aimee plays with excitement, confidence, and class, and her love for the game shows on the court.

Emma Schill - First Team All-Star

Emma Schill - VIU Mariners Women's Volleyball  

VIU's 'Swiss Army Knife,' Emma does it all for VIU at libero or outside hitter. Emma passed a 2.45 for the season and is 2nd in digs (3.41/set). Even with time at libero taking away from her offensive stats, she is still 13th in kills/set and recorded 10+ kills in five matches--2nd-best on VIU.

Grace Brisebois - Second Team All-Star

"Brizzy" is one of the most dominant rightsides in the PACWEST and excelled at all aspects of her game this season. She is one of only a few players to be on the PACWEST stats in all categories: 4th in digs, 9th in blocks, 12th in total offense and aces, and 15th in kills.

Keira Crellin - All-Rookie Team

If anyone thought VIU would struggle with a 1st year setter, Keira quieted any doubters on the way to a 19-1 record, including a 17-match winning streak. Keira is a very deceptive setter, finished 12th in digs/set, and was the heart and soul of the Mariners offence.

Jordy Exner - Top Libero

Jordy Exner - VIU Mariners Women's Volleyball

Jordy finished first in the conference in digs and digs per set—her 4.18 average making her the only player in the league to top 4 digs per set. With plenty of pace and no quit in her game, Jordy's defensive efforts helped VIU rocket to the top of the PACWEST standings.
