VIU and Douglas played to a 1-1 tie in Coquitlam on September 14. Pak Tung Tsang scored early in the game for Douglas while Saki Meshida replied for VIU. In their last game in Nanaimo, the Royals defeated the Mariners in the PACWEST semifinals and went on to represent the conference at the CCAA Women's Soccer National Championship in Charlottetown, PEI.
Wear Orange on Sunday
Fans are encouraged to wear orange for Sunday's match as we recognize the upcoming National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (Monday, September 30).
Watch Out Now
Douglas's Isabelle Dobbin leads the conference in goals with four scored over six games. The Royals boast an experienced lineup with eight fourth-year student-athletes. For the Mariners, Jade Dillabough has been a constant threat with her speed down the wings and is one of three Mariners with two goals on the season. The others are Tori Hauptman, who scored in VIU's last game against Langara, and Brianna Narduzzi, who scored two goals in VIU's season opener.
